Slip Inn, Hodson's Court

Slip Inn, Hodson's Court. (c) F. Greenwood, courtesy of David Pryer [1].

The Slip Inn was near to the Blue Boar Hotel, and Blue Boar Court led onto Hodson's Court.  Hodson's Court is shown here in 1903, here in 1959.  That lamp in the 1959 photo could well be the Slip Inn's, as shown above in a marvellous drawing by F. Greenwood.  Hodson's Court is shown here as late as 1971, before it was lost to the building of the Arndale Centre.
