The Tower Hotel was found in Cathedral Yard when it was a crowded little area full of hotels and pubs, seen here in 1897. Cathedral Yard hasn't changed that much when you compare this 1960s photo with the present day (note the bit of uncovered Hanging Bridge you can now see bottom right, with the Manchester Eye above and behind).
