Rose & Crown, Deansgate

Rose & Crown, Deansgate, 1792. (c) northmanchester.net.

Situated near Blackfriars Bridge at the north end of Deansgate, the amusing poster above advertises Mr Furmston, a giant, once exhibited at the Rose & Crown, or as above, the Rofe & Crown (to use the olde-fashioned or "long s").
