Albert, Lower Mosley Street

Albert, Lower Mosley Street. (c) Manchester Local Image Collection. Click here to view full image.

Pictured here in the 70s, The Albert was Tetley's house towards the northern end of Lower Mosley Street facing the Midland Hotel. This 1973 photo shows its location at the corner with East Street (where the famous Tommy Ducks stood) and these 1964 and 1970 photos show it as the Albert Hotel. Just out of shot to the left of the above picture was the Concert Inn. This row was demolished in the 70s and is now the site of a Premier Inn with the soulless Costa Coffee and Table Table restaurant on the ground floor.
