Revolution, Oxford Road (c) prideofmanchester.
The second of our Revolution bars - there are three in total (and we don't intend to cover the Deansgate Locks branch!). Whilst an improvement on the first one off Deansgate (wouldn't be difficult), it's still a strangely sterile world of expensive drinks and little atmosphere. Once again, no sign of real ale, so it was Guinness or a bottle of foreign lager to numb the palate, and whilst sitting in the window was nice to do a bit of people watching, it doesn't match the feel of a good pub. As is the way with this and other dull chain bars, they have their niche and their regular customers, it's just not for us!
