Park Inn, Cotter Street

The Park Inn is hidden behind the better-known but also closed Church Inn on Ardwick Green.  This former Burtonwood house sits on the corner of Cotter Street and Niven Street, just off Ardwick Green North. "A popular local close to Ardwick Green" with large lounge and single-storey extension, or so it says in the sales brochure, and more [1].

The smoking shelter that had been knocked together hints at possible reasons for this (and other pubs') demise, but to be honest, there probably isn't enough people living or working around this part of Ardwick any more to support two pubs, never mind the one (there was in 1971 and 1973).  Whether the pub fetched the £225,000 + VAT asking price is not known.  UPDATE:  As of 2013 the Park Inn is now a private dwelling.
