Crown & Cushion 1741-2011

The rumours were true.  The Crown & Cushion - Manchester's oldest continually licensed premises - has closed its doors for good after 270 years.

    this pub was my first at the time it was a whitbread pub when the hostel for woman in those days did o good trade in warm pies not there very long the brewery moved me to a newish pub in harperhay there five years moved again the year i was there around 73/74,
