Royal Hunt, Robert Hall Street, Ordsall. (c) Salford Pubs of the 70s at flickr .
Situated on the corner of Gloucester Street and Robert Hall Street (the two streets don't quite meet these days), the Royal Hunt was the oldest beerhouse on the street, opening in the 1860s. A year after a slight rebuild, Joseph Holt's bought the Royal Hunt in 1891 and the beerhouse lasted for 80 years until it was demolished under the Ordsall compulsary purchase order of 1971 .
