Red Bull, Mason Street

Red Bull, Mason Street, New Cross. (c) Manchester Local Image Collection. Click here to view full image.

The Red Bull once stood on the corner of Mason and Thompson Street in the now decaying area between the Manchester ends of Rochdale and Oldham Road, aka New Cross.  Seen here in 1965, and here in 1971 it looks in a slightly better state as Threlfalls house.  Since then it's been knocked down and replaced with this nondescript building.

  1. I am almost certain that you have the pictures of this pub in 1965 and 1971 the wrong way round.
