Around the corner from the original Green Door Club, it's not evident whether the New Green Door Club new one replaced it or they were both open at the same time. It sounds like it was also an all-nighter though. It follows a trend for pubs in this area to name themselves after each other: Old Boars Head / New Boars Head; Castle & Falcon / New Castle & Falcon. The club seemingly closed in the late 1970s or early '80s when newspaper mogul Eddie Shah clamped down on the print unions and working practices were changed.
