Checkpoint Charlies, Arndale Centre

Seftons (Checkpoint Charlies behind), Corporation Street, 1990. (c) deltrems at flickr [1].

Little is remembered of this small bar, Checkpoint Charlies, situated at the top of the steps of the Corporation Street entrance to the Arndale seen here to the left of the picture.  It was literally right behind Seftons, and I think tried to build off the success of the pub in front, although it never really succeeded.  Primarily a Boddies house, it was a long, thin music bar, but never really came to anything and closed in the early 1990s.
