Mancunian Club, Paton Street

Just off Dale Street on Paton Street heading towards Piccadilly were a couple of clubs, the Mancunian Club and the Saxony Club.  Seen here with its Double Diamond sign in 1966, 44 years on the white frontage of the Mancunian Club was still evident as you walk through this fairly run-down part of town towards Piccadilly (it's a street we amble down regularly when moving between favourite pubs and to be honest, we've never really noticed it).  Since 2010 it's had a facelift and the street is looking smarter but still devoid of any much trade.
