Hen & Chickens, Deansgate

The former site of this little pub on Deansgate now faces the new Hilton Hotel, but in the mid-1800s when run by Margaret Malkin it would have faced Knott Mill Police Station [1]. Not many guests in the hotel or revellers in Cloud 23 will realise they are on the site of an old cop shop! The exact location of the Hen & Chickens was the third premises down from Liverpool Road, which puts it to the left of the white door.
