Park House, Belle Vue Street

Park House, Belle Vue Street, West Gorton. (c) Manchester Local Image Collection. Click here to view full image [1].

The Park House was a Wilsons Brewery house on the corner of Burtree Street and Belle Vue Street in west Gorton, just off Gorton Lane and Pottery Lane.  It was opposite the old Gorton Brook / Gorton Arms., which lasted longer than the Park House.  The short Burtree Street still runs between Belle Vue Street and Gorton Lane but has nothing along it these days - it's seen here in 1964 and 1971 with the Park House at either end.
