The Brunswick Hotel was a huge Hardy's Brewery house on the corner of Brunswick Street and Upper Brook Street in Chorlton-on-Medlock. It stood at No.99 and lasted until 1970 [1] when it was knocked down, presumably as part of the creation of the Brunswick council estate here, although nothing has replaced it. The Brunswick Hotel is shown here in 1959 advertising 'Hardy's Manchester Ales'. A decade later in 1959 and the Hardy's sign has been rather crudely painted over with 'Cornbrook Ales' and 'Jubilee Stout' signs.
