Vine, Jersey Street, Ancoats. (c) Neil Richardson [1].
The Vine beerhouse stood on the corner of Jersey Street and Murray Street in old Ancoats. It opened in the 1860s and closed as a Walkers of Warrington house in 1927 [1].
The Vine was bought from the brewery in around 1919 by Vincents, an ice-cream company [2], so common in Manchester's Little Italy. It faced the Church Inn which is a more recent loss.
