Golden Eagle, Blossom Street

Former location of the Golden Eagle, Blossom Street, Ancoats. (c) Google 2013. View Larger Map.

The Golden Eagle was on the corner of Blossom Street and Henry Street, so probably opposite the Edinburgh Castle.  This still standing but increasingly derelict boozer is to to the left in the above shot.  The Golden Eagle was another short-lived Ancoats beerhouse from the 1830s-1860s [1], replaced by warehouses to cater for the wares of the Industrial Revolution.
